Tri'Nytia

Tri'Nytia is a strategic board game in which three factions struggle to achieve their often opposing goals. Play as a member of the Order of Guardians, the Pact of Shadows or a Legend of the Circle. To win, you will need opportunism, ingenuity and above all team spirit. At the beginning of the game the identity of each player is secret. You will therefore have to determine who your allies and enemies are in order to set up the strategy that will make you win !

To sum up, to make Tri'Nytia alone, I worked on the Game Design, the Balancing, the Making of the cards, the box, the board (Photoshop, Printing, Laminating) and the World Building

This project is inspired by the main mechanics of Shadow Hunter.

The main changes I wanted to make to this basic experience concerned complexity, replayability, team play, the impact of players' decisions, and leaving less to chance and more to strategy.

The Cards

To achieve my objectives I designed :
- The face-down cards, which add strategy and surprise.
- Arcane cards, which make the game more dynamic by allowing players to intervene in an emergency during an opponent's turn.
- Event cards, which shake up the game by affecting all the players for the rest of the game.
- Exchanging cards between players increases the impact of group cohesion.
- A defence system with armour points to acquire.
- An active death system, so that players who are eliminated continue to have fun.
- Lore. Scattered across all the maps, it makes each game unique, as players learn a little more about the world of Tri'Nytia.
